Design Concept:

In the ancient scriptures of the “Ashtamangala,” or Gautama Buddha’s “Eight Offerings” on his path to enlightenment,” the jeweled parasol is the infinite representation of the expansiveness of the universe and its protectiveness.  In LIULI’s representation, the umbrella is carved in a low relief of amber-gold, radiating a sense of safety and peace in the assurance of a protective eternity.  In a manner of literary interpretation, the artifact symbolizes the canopy of the sky above and its ever-unfolding vastness.  “Precious Umbrella” offers protectiveness and peace as one of the most auspicious among the greatest fortunes of this universe.
